The Italian Ministry of Magic has been around for a long time. They have made sure that it is very safe for all of their employees, although that does make it a little complicated to get there if one isn't one of the main officials at the Ministry of Magic.

There is an abandonned shop on a relatively quiet street in the middle of Roma. It always has a For Sale sign on it, but it also has an enchantment on it so muggles don't notice it very much. It is unimportant to them and they just carry on their daily activities, walking past it without notice.

The first step of entering the Ministry is all in this shop. One must walk into it and register at the desk at the back corner. Once registered, they may enter the doorway at the back of the room.

It leads to a tunnel, which has been charmed to appear a lot shorter than it actually is. The tunnel leads to the outskirts of Roma and travels slightly downhill the entire time. Once one has walked the entire distance, there is a door at the end of the tunnel, which leads in to the Atrium.

The Atrium has a very tall ceiling with glass windows. Of course, since the Ministry of Magic is underground, it is only bewitched to look like the sun is shining down on all of the employees and visitors as they shuffle their way through the crowds in the Atrium.

In the middle of the atrium is a a doughnut shaped desk with eight receptionists positioned around it, ready to answer any questions one would have about the Ministry.

From the atrium, there are nine doors [four on the left, four on the right, spaced out across the length of the Atrium, and one at the back]. Each one of the eight side doors lead to a different branch of the Ministry of Magic. The last one, at the back of the Atrium, leads to the office of the Minister of Magic himself. There is a small corridor before one can enter his office, though.

Once one goes through one of the side corridors, they will find many rooms with different offices of the employees who work in that branch of the Ministry. At the end of each of the corridors is a larger office, which is for the Head of that Department.
