It's fall of 1999 and Italy is currently going under a lot of changes. The Minister for Magic was assassinated a few months ago in the summer, but that's not exactly where our story starts.

Everyone knows about Voldemort and Harry Potter, the war in England... But what happened in Italy? Well, Voldemort wasn't recruiting in Italy, exactly, but he did have his influence there. A group of very young wizards decided that they wanted to help him. But they didn't quite get the whole picture. While Voldemort wanted to change the wizarding world, wanted to purify it, this group of young rebels just wanted to make some chaos. They saw the attacks in the news and thought that it looked like fun, so they made a small group and called themselves Nuovo Sangue. New blood. It wasn't that they weren't pure. No, quite the opposite. But they were new to the world. They weren't a bunch of old Death Eaters getting involved in wizarding politics. They were just some young wizards looking to cause a bit of havoc.

But when word of Voldemort's defeat came to them, they were suddenly leader-less. Voldemort had never been their leader, but he was the one they supported, their inspiration for all the chaos they were creating. And when he was gone, they went wild. They had no rhyme or reason and attacked for pleasure, rather than the thought of doing something for someone else, someone greater [even if they never understood what that something was]. They killed the Minister in cold blood mid-July of 1999.

And now it's time to go back to school. No one really knows who Nuovo Sangue is. Polyjuice potion, disguises... It's hard to really tell who they are, no matter how hard the Ministry works at finding them. Everyone knows that some of them go to Firenze Academy, though. They're all very close, but with all the relationships and drama amongst the older students at Firenze Academy, Nuovo Sangue could be anyone.
